I’m Martina, the creator of KetoDiet.com and the KetoDiet app, as well as the author of a series of cookbooks focused on healthy, low-carb eating.

My journey into nutrition and healthy living started in a different place. I earned a degree in Economics and worked in auditing, but it didn’t take long to realize that my true passion was in nutrition, health, and cooking. I’ve always been interested in how nutrition works, the creativity behind developing recipes, and sharing delicious meals through photography. There’s something special about combining simple, wholesome ingredients to make dishes that are both healthy and tasty.

This isn’t just a career for me, it’s personal. I’m a strong believer in low-carb living and regular exercise, not just because of the research behind it, but because I’ve seen the benefits in my own life.

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune thyroid condition. Despite trying to live healthily, I struggled with fatigue and weight management. Like many, I was following a “traditional” healthy diet—low fat, high in whole grains and vegetables—but I wasn’t getting the results I wanted.

So, I decided to make a change. I removed sugar, grains, and processed foods from my diet and switched to a whole-foods-based ketogenic approach. The difference was amazing, and that’s what inspired me to start sharing my journey.

That’s when I created KetoDiet, a comprehensive tracking app packed with thousands of low-carb recipes. It quickly became popular with health-conscious food lovers. In 2012, I launched the KetoDiet blog to help people navigate low-carb, ketogenic living.

Since 2016, I’ve written ten books on low-carb and keto diets, all aimed at proving that eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring or difficult. They’re filled with simple, delicious recipes and practical advice, showing that a healthy lifestyle is accessible and rewarding.

At KetoDiet, we believe that healthy living isn’t just about weight loss—it’s about making lasting changes that improve your overall wellbeing. It’s about enjoying food that not only tastes great but also makes you feel good. My mission is to help you reach your health goals, whether that’s achieving your ideal weight or simply enjoying nutritious, satisfying meals.
